Some art freebies for you...

Good morning again! This is the first time I've posted twice in one day, but I wanted to share these two sweet children with you. These are very old so did not scan too well (not to mention my printer/scanner is on the blink). The plaid dress on the child in the photo makes me think of Christmas outfits, and the trade card has put me in the winter spirit.

I probably will not post for a few days as good friends of ours are coming to visit next week, so I will be rather busy.

I hope you enjoy these. Maybe after the holidays I will actually have some time to use them in some art!

Have a great weekend!

    1. Hi Sue. Thanks so much for reading my blog. We bought the sled a few years ago in Selma, NC in an antiques store, and the skates on Essex, MA. The Essex store must have had 50 pairs, all for about $5.00! They skate more in MA than in NC. We don't get much ice here, nor snow for that matter. Have a great day! Sue

  5. Hi, Sue! I've had a blog for a few years, but haven't posted to it much for a while. Still, I like to go to other womens' blogs and see what they're doing. I must say I really like your site! I also love all things vintage (maybe not ALL things). And I used to try to be creative with everything I did. These days I'm working full time taking care of little old ladies (and a few little old men), and find I have little energy left. However, I have promised myself that I'm going to try harder to post and network!

  6. Oh, I forgot... I linked to your blog via The Feathered Nest. And I'm glad I did. BTW, I've read the book Cold Mountain several times, and because it is set in North Carolina, I have a warm spot in my heart for that state. I've been there only once, at a reenactment of the Continental troops entering Old Winston-Salem during the American Revolution. But I would love to go through the mountains some day (when it's not tourist season for people who saw the movie). Bye!

    1. Hi Carol. Thank you for you comments on my blog and my state. I love it here, and moved here 6 years ago from Florida. The mountains here are particularly beautiful in Oct. It is sometimes hard to post when you have other responsibilities. Have a great day! Sue
